David Prelle Eron is the CEO of Prelle Eron & Bailey, P.A., in Wichita, Kansas. He represents businesses and business owners in bankruptcy, litigation, and commercial transactions, with a primary focus on chapter 11 and 12 cases. He has represented debtors, creditors, committees, trustees, and the U.S. Trustees Office. David has been certified by the American Board of Certification as a business bankruptcy specialist since 2015, and he currently sits on the ABC Board of Directors. David was recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as one of Wichita’s “40 Under 40” in 2015. He has been rated as a Martindale-Hubbell® “AV-Rated”™ attorney since 2011, a “SuperLawyer”™ since 2013 (and a “Rising Star”™ prior to that), and one of the “Best Lawyers in America”™ since 2019, including Wichita's "Lawyer of the Year"™ in 2023. David is a past member of the District of Kansas Bench Bar Committee and the Kansas Bankruptcy Bench Bar Committee, past president of the KBA Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section, and has served in numerous roles in the Wesley E. Brown Inn of Court, including as president from 2022-23. He regularly presents seminars and writes articles on bankruptcy related topics, including service for two years as a contributing editor for the ABI Journal. He is currently serving on the advisory board of the Midwestern Bankruptcy Institute jointly sponsored by the ABI and UMKC, and served as the presiding chair of the conference in 2023. He received a Pro Bono Certificate in 2013 from the Kansas Bar Association, recognizing his contributions in this area. David received his B.A. in Political Science from Iowa State University in 1998 (Go Cyclones!) and graduated with honors from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2002.

Outside of his law practice, David is the proud father of 7 children and grandfather of 4. He works in a variety of charitable endeavors, especially in his Knights of Columbus chapter at St. Vincent de Paul, where he has served in several officer positions. He also regularly acts in a charitable "murder mystery" play raising funds for the local Lord's Diner "soup kitchen." David's favorite activities include cycling (both road and gravel), motorcycling, cooking, and traveling with his wife.
