Dwayne M. Murray is an insolvency lawyer serving his 28th term as a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee for Region 5, Louisiana and Mississippi. He is a Subchapter V trustee and is frequently appointed Chapter 11 trustee and serves in the 19th Judicial District Court, State of Louisiana, as a Special Master and Liquidator. Dwayne is the managing member at Murray & Murray, LLC, a Fellow of 31st Class (2020) of the American College of Bankruptcy, teaches the bankruptcy law course at the Southern University Law Center, affiliates with the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association, National Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, Baton Rouge Bar Association, and admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America, The United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana. Murray is a Master in the Jerry A. Brown Louisiana Bankruptcy American Inn of Court where he serves as Co-Membership Chair. He holds the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and obtained the Juris Doctorate from the Southern University Law Center. Murray is a former President and CEO of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
