A graduate of both UNC Chapel Hill (1991) and Duke University School of Law (1994), Lisa is licensed and admitted to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. She represents banks, credit unions, private lenders, farm credit associations, equipment finance companies, other creditors, and insurers in matters including receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors, loan workouts, collateral recovery and foreclosure, and voluntary and involuntary bankruptcy cases.

Lisa is active in the ABA Business Law Section, currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Business Bankruptcy Committee.
