Fourth Circuit Moot Court Event

Monday, February 18, 2019
The Education Committee of the Fourth Circuit is pleased to announce a 2019 American College of Bankruptcy Fourth Circuit Moot Court event. To view the application, please download the event attachment below.

The moot court will be held on Monday, February 18, at Arnold & Porter’s DC office, 601 Massachusetts Ave, NW, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Judges Patrick Flatley, Michelle Harner and Brian Kenney will judge the moot court.

Teams from Campbell, Howard, and George Washington law schools plan to compete.

Additional schools are welcome to apply; applications are due December 14, 2018.

We anticipate one preliminary round with each team, one final round, and a reception.

Teams do not need to submit briefs.  Teams who have not prepared the brief required for the Duberstein, however, might be disadvantaged in preparing their arguments.

Interested in joining us to watch the moot court? We expect the final round to begin around noon.

The competition will involve the same commercial law fact pattern as used for the Duberstein Moot Court Competition:

Law schools may compete, at no cost, in the circuit regional whether or not they plan to compete in the Duberstein.

Please help us spread the word about this competition!
